Registered Nurse - Case Manager

Full Time, 10 hr Shifts, Friday-Monday, 8:00am-6:00pm

Provides and directs the provision of home nursing care, based on agency policies and procedures, through the competent application of the nursing process.
Education and Formal Training: Associate degree in nursing, RN licensed in the State of North Carolina. Current CPR or obtain within 30 days of hire.
Work Experience: Minimum of one year of nursing experience preferred.
Must have a valid Driver License, reliable transportation, and a satisfactory driving record. 
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required: Demonstrates a high level of mental and emotional tolerance and even temperament when dealing with ill people; uses tact, sensitivity, sound judgment, and a professional attitude when relating with patients, families, and co-workers at all times. Education and Formal Training: Successful completion of an LPN program. Licensed to practice nursing in the State of North Carolina. Current CPR or obtain within 30 days of hire.

Must have a current/valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and a satisfactory driving record. 

Work Experience: Minimum of one year of home health nursing experience strongly desired.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required: Demonstrates a high level of mental and emotional tolerance and even temperament when dealing with ill people; uses tact, sensitivity, sound judgment, and a professional attitude when relating with patients, families, and co-workers at all times. Actively functions as a patient advocate. Must develop thorough knowledge of home care emergency policies and procedures, fire, safety, disaster, and infection control policies.

Home Health Aide

Full Time, 1st Shift, Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm

Provides support services, under the supervision of the appropriate professional staff that assist the client or family in the achievement of physical and emotional comfort in the home.

Work Experience: Worked as C.N.A. for greater than one year in Home Health, LTC or acute care facility directly supervised by an RN or LPN.  Satisfactory completion of a state approved nursing assistant course and current CNA certification required.   High School Diploma or equivalent required.  Current CPR or obtain within 30 days of hire.

Must have a current driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required: Demonstrated Knowledge and skills necessary to care for and communicate with primarily the geriatric population, and to a lesser degree pediatric and adult populations. Demonstrated knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span. Able to identify each client’s needs relative to their age specific needs. Possess good communication skills. Understands verbal and written instruction; able to follow written plan of care. Record observations and activities. Works in a team responsibly and is self directed, needing minimal direct supervision.

Home Health Biller/Reimbursement Coordinator

Full Time, 1st Shift, Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm

HOME HEALTH BILLING EXPERIENCE PREFERRED

Provides administrative, clerical and primarily, billing support to the agency. Position will be responsible for all insurance authorizations, claims submission, appeals, etc. Collaboration with Hospital Accounting Department to ensure all billing is submitted and payments are collected and recorded timely. Coordinates with Office Assistants to identify and resolve outstanding agency issues causing billing holds. All other duties as assigned by manager

Education and Formal Training:  High school diploma or equivalent required; training in medical terminology preferred.

Work Experience:  Experience in medical billing required; experience in Home Health Medicare billing preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:  Demonstrates a high level of mental and emotional tolerance and even temperament when dealing with people; uses tact, sensitivity, sound judgment, and a professional attitude when relating with patients, families, and co-workers at all times. Demonstrates knowledge of appropriate skills for communication with individuals of all ages, especially the geriatric population.
